The display is nice and clear, and you can see it well in bright sunlight. Reception is better than my older DMR112, not sure why some say it's worse, the antenna is in the handle which works best when upright but the majority of the time can be left flat. The 2.4A USB output is very handy for charging stuff. The body of the radio feels well made, many of the black bits in the pictures are made of rubber.
