The dimensions are perfect for two or three large geese. I liked the construction design, which is an "skeleton" of metal members, upon which the wooden elements are fastened by screws. It is sturdy. We very much like the way that the roof is hinged, allowing for cleaning of the floor, which is necessary in a goose box. My only criticism, and the reason that I gave it 4 stars, rather than 5, is that the 'stay hinges' that keep the roof up while cleaning became bent and largely useless within a week or two. This may have something to do with my teenage daughter trying to close the roof without properly releasing the hinge. That said, the 'stay hinge' was nevertheless fragile. The main hinges that attach the roof to the box are strong, and the failure of the 'stay hinges' doesn't ruin the roof, it just won't stay up by itself anymore.
