The Aptaris Black magic Cinema Camera Cage from Walimex Pro is specifically designed for the Black magic 2.5K Cinema Camera or Production Camera 4K. It attaches to the camera via a 1/4"-20 threaded screw and provides additional 1/4"-20 threads around the cage for attaching optional accessories such as the cold shoe mount and handle, as well as microphones, recorders, monitors, or LED lights. Rod modules on the top and bottom of the cage allow for standard 15mm rods to be added for direct attachment of accessories such as a matte box and follow focus. The cage comes with two pairs of 15mm rods (in 9.8" and 7.9" lengths). The included two-part handle consists of a grip and riser, and attaches to the cage via a mini rail which can be positioned at any of the 1/4" accessory holes. The handle riser slides onto the mini rail, using a lever to secure it in place. The cold shoe mount can also be positioned at any of the 1/4"-20 accessory holes. The cage doesn't block access to camera controls or the SD slot and the adjustable handle can be mounted on the top, bottom, or either side of the cage. The cage is constructed from strong but light aircraft aluminum.
